As a Knoxville newborn photographer I want to prepare my clients to have the best experience and feel prepared for their session. Malin Photography is more than just a showing up and taking photos, it is a process. I want to help hold your hand from booking, styling, session day, to gallery delivery and album/product design. I offer the luxury experience and want my clients to be my best friends by the time we get through with everything! With that said you can find below 3 tips when planning an in-home session to make your photos and you look your best.

1. Tidy Up Your Space

Trust me I have been there, your house is messy and you feel overwhelmed. You don’t have to deep clean the entire house and every room, just stick to tidying up the main living space and clearing the dishes in the kitchen. If there are any other rooms you know you would like to photograph in then pick those up as well, like the bedroom and/or nursey. Again, this doesn’t need to a get on your hands and knees and scrub, but just picking up loose clutter and object will make your photos look better.

2. Let the Light In

I encourage my clients to open up the blinds and curtains and let the sunlight flow in! It just simple creates magical images! Along with opening the blinds and curtains, please turn off any lamps and lighting. When you mix natural light and lamp light it can create muddy images and not bright crisp photos.

3. Styling Your Family

This is one of my favorite part for my clients to experience! I am your personal shopper! 🙂 I always start with mom’s dress first and base everyone off what she is wearing. I help create a cohesive family look and save you time and money. I offer my CLIENT CLOSET for mom and baby. If you don’t see anything you like, I work along side mom to find a dress she loves and feels beautiful in and I will cover the cost of the dress and add it to my growing client closet.

What you wear matters. My photography style is light, timeless, and classic. In order to achieve this I help put style boards together to make sure everyone looks and feels amazing while not having the headache of dragging the family shopping.
