There is so much to be done during this time and things to check off your list to get ready for your big day! With everything that needs to be done, you may wonder if you should take the time for an engagement session. I want to share with you the importance of capturing these moments.

Engagement sessions are not just for my couples, but also for myself. Not only does your session provide a chance for my couple to get comfortable in front of the camera, before the big day, but it also gives me an opportunity to get to know you and your dynamic, which helps to create more authentic and natural images.

But with any photoshoot, it’s important to make the most of the time and effort put into it. Here are a few tips for couples to get the most out of their engagement shoot:

1. Choose a location that has personal meaning to you as a couple. This could be a place where you had your first date, got engaged, or simply love to spend time together. Having a personal connection to the location will make the photos feel more authentic and special.
2. Don’t be afraid to show your personality and have fun with the shoot. This is your chance to be playful and silly, or romantic and intimate. Let your true selves shine through, and the photos will reflect that.
3. Trust me as your photographer. I am the expert and will know how to direct and guide you to get the best photos you are dreaming of.
4. Bring props that fit your style. For example, fresh flowers, whether it be a bouquet or floral crown-this can add a romantic flare to your session, engagement ring, and/or accessories (stylish handbag, sunglasses, watch, or statement shoes).
